Privacy Policy
SwiftSend takes customer information privacy very seriously. This Privacy Statement summarizes SwiftSend's intentions in establishing its extensive security procedures. For more detailed information on how SwiftSend secures information, please see SwiftSend Security.
SwiftView, Inc., recognizes the extreme sensitivity of the information in documents that SwiftSend transmits. In fact, SwiftSend was created in response to the lack of a sufficiently secure means for transmitting electronic documents, so it was designed to accommodate the very highest privacy standards. We thoroughly understand the need to safeguard sensitive information. With regard to our protection of customer and document privacy, we believe that our privacy and security are comparable to bank websites, meeting or exceeding all real security requirements.
Privacy Standards: Document Integrity
Customer Documents are treated with the utmost care. SwiftSend is designed to prevent access to customer documents by our personnel during all normal use. Only a very small group of senior operations staff and management have direct access to the servers where the documents reside and access is carefully monitored. Extensive electronic, physical, and personal security prevent tampering with information on the SwiftSend servers. All actual and potential document access is subject to formal controls which are regularly audited by an outside firm.
Transmission Information is also protected. The subject line and body of the email cover letter are controlled and inaccessible in the same manner as the document itself. Selected personnel at SwiftView, Inc., on a need-to-know basis, have limited access to information about the email transmission. For instance, in order to properly help customers, SwiftSend technical support personnel can access email time/date, sender name and email address, recipient email address, and document title. They have neither access to the body of the email (the message) nor to the document itself.

Privacy Standards: Customer Information
SwiftSend gathers customer information to properly identify and validate that identity, as well as to maintain open channels of communication regarding the services.
Any non-public information about customers, such as contact names and email addresses, purchase volume, etc., is collected, maintained, and used only for the purpose of administering SwiftSend services. Any non-public information is understood to be private and is not provided to other companies, unless you specifically agree to allow us to, for example, when acting as a sales reference or participating in public relations activities. SwiftView's records of company information, both electronic and paper, are secured.
We reserve the right to make unsolicited contact with customers when there are updates or upgrades on SwiftSend products or services, or when customers need to renew maintenance or other agreements.
We reserve the right to reveal public customer information (company names, industry, and city/state) in the form of customer lists, unless specifically requested not to. We will not use any information that is not widely publicly available. We also give customers the right to tell us if they do not want us to acknowledge them as a customer by name.
We reserve the right to concatenate customer information to provide aggregate data about customers. For example: "There are X SwiftSend customers and they send a total of Y packages per month" or "Our average customer sends Z packages per year."
Privacy Standards: SwiftSend Personnel
We limit access to customer information to those on our staff who have a business reason to know such information about you. We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through ongoing training, as well as through procedures and close management overview.
In Summary
We maintain security standards and procedures designed to protect both customer information and documents. We continue to check and update our technology to improve the protection of your information and documents.
